Special to The Journal. Darlington, Mar. 14 - Joseph Wheeler, age 77 years, died here Tuesday afternoon from a stroke of paralysis suffered Monday night. He had been making his home with his sister, Mrs. Mima Johnson. He is survived by his wife and one son, Walter, who lives near Highview school, and three sisters, Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Lizzie Haffner and Mrs. Lee Young of Arizona. The funeral services will be conducted from the Methodist church on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock with burial at the Greenlawn cemetery. The Rev. Kuonen will be in charge. [b~1851]
